Default Pickup Item button, keyboard chat with NPCs

Hia!

If you add a pickup items on ground button.

Ability to chat with NPC's useing keyboard. (maybe shift+number key ?)

And abit more keyboard control over Inventory/merchants etc..
(tab change "active window", arrows move between selected items in inventory. Enter sells item at merchant/equips it to character. Shift-f1->f4 sets selected item to quickslots ?)

Then this game could be played entirely by useing the keyboard. It would make it abit easier for people with only 1 hand to enjoy the game.. Less moveing arm from mouse to keyboard and back all the time...

Although I would still use my mouse, it occasionally runs out of battery which is annoying - especially if there are drops I could potentially miss out on cos I can't click on the to pick them up.

Good shout I'd say; not a major game change for a lot of people but would make a difference to some.

I'd love to see a pickup nearby items button. I so often find myself running in little circles around an item as i try to click on it in a hurry and hit the ground instead. It would be very convenient to have a button, as in other games similar to this i have played.

I think we need a "Target Nearest Assigned Loot" button, so we can press eg. "U" followed by "space" to pick up the nearest assigned item.

To chat with NPCs, press V to target nearest ally and then hit spacebar.

Thought I do agree there needs to be a target loot button.

/sign for the pickup nearest item key. I use my keyboard for 95% of all tasks on guild wars, and pretty much the only thing I use my mouse for is picking up items. I don't think a system for controlling henchies would be possible because of the amount of communication that goes on between party members. What would the commands be? Don't aggro these people? Attack? (can be done with ctrl + space) Not trying to smack you down, it'd be really nice if they could pull it off.

No, I dont mean controling henchmen. I mean when you talk to NPC's, there are usally a few options on what you want to say/ask/get more info on.

not that I dont want henchmen control, that would be nifty, but thats not what I meant here

ps: wish you would change your nickname about:blank, brings back horrible memories

And I like to add one more thing. Please give us the loots when the party die and mission fail as we can collect some loots after a successful missions. I really hate to see my body lying dead near a good loot and "Return to outpost" menu pop up.

Well yeah, but...you're dead aren't you. How are you going to pick up loot if you're dead?

The reason you get your drops after a successful mission is because, realistically, you're alive and all the bad guys are dead, so you COULD run back through the mission and collect everything that's dropped yourself. However, for the sake of showing you the cutscenes at the right time, the game lets you off having to do this and just gives you items after the mission AND cutscene are over.

I don't think this should change because, even though it's infuriating when a black dye drops just as you get run through by a Jade or something, it's just unlucky. It's happened to me loads of times, but when you're dead in battle, you're dead and there's not a lot you can do about it.

It's more to keep a thread alive, and hear others opinion on it as more people are likly to see it, and its more likley someone from anet will take a gander at it if its a "topic" of the comunity..
